Ghana Planetarium is the
first digital planetarium in sub-Saharan Africa and offers a unique interactive
experience for children and adults of all ages. Through a visit the children of
Ghana will explore the beauty and wonder of the universe, learning about the
big bang, our solar system, the stars and all that we see in the night sky.
We hope that by visiting Ghana Planetarium, children will
leave enthused about astronomy and inspired to ask further questions about the
world around us, thereby igniting a passion for wider science disciplines, such
as physics, mathematics and chemistry. Alongside this we also wish to instil a
strong environmental ethos, promoting the idea that every person has a
responsibility to look after our planet through recycling, re-using and
managing our waste.
For schools, we offer exciting hands-on sessions where pupils
will undertake a range of activities centring around a theme, including a
planetarium show and a practical task.
